Hyundai Hybrid Recall 2021

This week Hyundai Motor Company anniunced that they will be recalling thousands of Hyundai Hybrids over an engine fire risk. 

The recall affects certain 2017 Tucsons and Sonata Hyrbids that have Hyundai's 2-litre GDI engine. The fire risk is caused by an egine part that could prematurely wear. 

This is a major blow to Hyundai as they continue to increase their hybrid line up. Also the 2-litre GDI engine is one of their most popular engines.

 Hyundai will be sending out recall notices to owners of the affected vehicles.

2023 Subaru Solterra - Subaru's first ever EV.

Subaru, just announced their first ever electric SUV, Subaru Solterra for the 2023 model year. Expected go on sale in mid 2022, the Solterra has a range of 220 miles on a single charge.  Subaru has always been a reliable family brand. The fact that Solterra's EV powertrain comes from Toyota means reliability will not be an issue.  Subaru is definitely leveraging their partnership with Toyota which is evident when you look at the Solterra which has body panels similar to the RAV4. But the Solterra has It's own unique styling.  It would be exciting to see the 2023 Solterra on the road near future.
